WEDNESDAY'S PRACTICE

This afternoon we'll continue to explore tapas. Tapas is the practice of self-discipline, or the will-power to persevere through the difficult to achieve a greater goal. As you move through your practice this afternoon be aware of thoughts as you encounter a challenge. 
  • Cobbler's pose 2-3 minutes - find a slow steady breath
  • Easy forward fold from cobbler's pose 10-15 breaths
  • Deer pose / add twist to each side
  • Locust pose / sphinx pose
  • Downward facing dog
  • Forward fold
  • Mountain
  • Shoulder opener with strap - move within personal ROM
  • Half sun x 3 - move with your breath
  • Warrior I - Pyramid
  • Vinyasa or forward fold
  • Warrior II
  • Vinyasa or forward fold
  • Side angle pose / optional bind / bird of paradise
  • Vinyasa or forward fold
  • Eagle pose
  • Vinyasa to child's pose
  • Boat pose
  • Upward facing plank
  • Head to knee pose
  • Spinal twist
  • Yogi's choice

    PRACTICING YOGA
    A simple list cannot capture the energy and feel of a class, the expertise of a qualified teacher, nor the wisdom of listening to your own body. If you choose to use a sequence, it's important remember honor your body. Take only the parts of the practice that meets your needs.
